Welcome to Ruby’s Orchard Camp – a private camp just for you. Whether you are looking for a couples hideaway, some comfortable family camping fun in the semi-wild or a small group camp-out, you will have 2.5 acres all to yourselves!
Ruby’s Orchard is a ready-to-use rural camp, tucked away in the North Devon countryside between Dartmoor and the north coast, with access to lots of beautiful places and activities. There are 2 and a bit acres of semi-wild, exclusive-use camp where you are provided with pretty much all you need to enjoy some time discovering a lesser-known area of gorgeous Devon.
If you are feeling energetic, you can walk or cycle the Tarka Trail and explore the Taw/Torridge estuary, discover the local Ruby-Country trails, take a trip to the north Devon coast for some swimming, surfing or coasteering or take a day trip to Lundy Island from Ilfracombe. Bring your own bicycles to explore, or hire them in Torrington.
Or… if you are in the mood for relaxing there’s no need to rush off anywhere – you can simply watch the local bird-life on the feeders, try to identify the damselflies and dragonflies flitting around the small pond on sunny days, have a barbecue or fire on the edge of the woodland, listen to the rustlings and calls of the local wildlife after dark, and generally just wind down.
Ruby’s Orchard Camp is next to a lane which is part of the N27 National Cycle route, and well-sited for cyclists, walkers and those who just fancy a thoroughly relaxing easy – camping experience. The 30 mile traffic free Tarka Trail is accessed just a mile or two away
